Dear friends of CASIE,
If I could only highlight one thing about The CASIE Center, I would not hesitate for a moment before I started talking about our team. Our team starts with the 13 dedicated staff members who keep CASIE running every day. They answer the phones, conduct forensic interviews, support children and families, connect parents with resources, teach children to speak up if they are experiencing abuse, support schools, manage the details behind the scenes, and show up every day to do this important work.
But our team is much bigger than the people who work at CASIE.
Our team includes the law enforcement officers, DCS workers, prosecutors, medical professionals, mental health providers, victim advocates and other professionals who make up our multidisciplinary team. They each bring their expertise and unique perspectives, but they come together around one thing: improving the response to child abuse in St. Joseph and surrounding counties.
Our team also includes our referral partners and the broader community. These are the schools, organizations, professionals and individuals who walk alongside us to support children and families. These relationships are an important part of how we make sure families have the support they need beyond the walls of CASIE.
Finally, there is the team that makes all of this possible: our supporters.
Countless donors, volunteers, board members, foundations, businesses and community members have trusted The CASIE Center for more than 30 years. You have believed in this work, invested in our mission and stood beside us through growth years and lean years. You are part of this team, too.
